Kalispell Montana Spring anniversary session. Jessi wanted to surprise her hubby with amazing photos of his Chevy truck before they had to sell it. His truck was really special and it held a lot of firsts for them. First truck, first date, I am not 100% sure about the first kiss in his truck, but you never know 😉 After 2 years, of marriage it was time for other things and sadly that meant letting go of his maroon chevy pickup. Jessi and James are the best couple I know and I treasure them as my best of friends!
Jessi has been my best friend for a long time and has been such a special person in my life, and I really knew that I wanted to make this extra memorable for them. So when she called me about this, we came up with the best ideas. Nothing beats a Montana spring like a toasty warm campfire, cozy Pendleton blanket, a beer, and some slow dance music in the back of a pickup truck. It just might be the most perfect kind of date feel. We had talked about doing these for a while, and we actually canceled due to the weather we had that day. It wasn’t until I was driving home that evening, when the sun finally broke through, and I gave Jessi a call to see if we could still do it. They pulled it all together in just30 minutes, and let me tell you, so AMAZING.
We had the campfire, danced, and laughed like crazy. As the evening went on, the rain started to sprinkle. It was dark, so we turned the headlights of the truck on, then the magic happened! Being a photographer for love stories: the genuine laughs, authentic moments, and the love in between is what makes the moments real. Documenting those moments, is a treasure.
So dreamy right?!? Sessions like these spark fire in my soul!
